At Nsight Designs, we believe that clarity brings confidence. This section is here to help answer common questions about our design process, services, and what to expect when working with us. If your question isn’t listed here, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to connect.
Absolutely. Your lifestyle, preferences, and intuition are at the core of every decision. I ask detailed questions (and even offer a lifestyle survey) to help me understand how you move through your space—so the design reflects how you truly live.
That’s perfectly okay. Part of my process is intuitive and collaborative. Through guided questions, inspiration images, and visual concepting, we’ll uncover a style that feels aligned and authentic to you.
Yes. While I have a trusted network of licensed and insured contractors I frequently collaborate with, I am also open to working with outside contractors if you already have one in mind. My priority is ensuring the design is implemented with integrity, and I’ll stay involved throughout the process to maintain consistency and alignment with the agreed-upon design. Regardless of who you choose to build the project; I coordinate closely to support a smooth and cohesive execution.
While I work closely with trusted vendors to secure competitive pricing and maintain your budget, prices can shift due to market or supplier changes. If this happens, you’ll be informed immediately, and we’ll explore alternative options that maintain the design integrity.
Yes. If we’re working within a phased budget, I’ll create a master plan and help prioritize which spaces to tackle first ensuring that each stage feels whole and intentional, not incomplete.
I source materials directly from manufacturers and trusted suppliers. This ensures quality, consistency, and helps keep your project within budget. It also gives you access to design-forward finishes not always found in retail showrooms.
Yes. While I’m not a general contractor, I actively oversee the design implementation through site visits, contractor coordination, and project guidance. My role is to make sure your vision is executed exactly as planned—with care and no shortcuts.
Renovations come with a lot of moving parts. If challenges arise, I’m your advocate and point of contact. I’ll help troubleshoot issues with the contractor or vendor and ensure the solution aligns with our agreed-upon design.
Design services are tailored to the scope of work and the unique needs of each client. They often include virtual design meetings, material selection and sourcing (such as cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and appliances), 3D renderings, design concept boards, and full design plans including layout, electrical, and plumbing schematics. Each package is curated to align with your vision, style, and functional goals.
Yes! While Nsight Designs specializes in renovations, remodels, and new construction — focusing on the permanent elements of your space — we now also offer home décor services. This includes furnishings, accessories, and styling to complete your space with intention and beauty. If you’re looking to layer in comfort, personality, and finishing touches, ask about our décor service packages.
We ask that clients do not independently purchase materials or products without prior approval. Items selected outside the design plan may not be a good fit functionally, stylistically, or financially. You’ll receive a curated list of approved materials, some of which you may purchase directly. Any items sourced outside our process are the client's responsibility for handling, delivery, and quality control.
Remodel projects can range from 3 months to a year depending on the complexity and scope of work. You’ll receive a project timeline and schedule to help you plan accordingly. Unpredictable factors like weather, factory delays, or vendor schedules may occasionally impact timing.
We’re flexible! If you’d like to expand the project, we’ll assess the new scope and adjust your design agreement accordingly. Additional fees will be discussed and approved before proceeding.
Most of our design services are charged as a flat rate per space. The final fee is based on the scope of the work, with any additional services or revisions quoted separately. This ensures clarity and value throughout the process.
Having a clear, realistic budget is essential. Material selections are made with your budget in mind before work begins to avoid delays and surprises. If selections are made during the project that exceed the original plan, we’ll let you know and adjust accordingly—with final decisions always up to you.
Clients often overlook personal costs such as lodging and meals if their home becomes unlivable during construction. Planning for temporary accommodations or alternative arrangements is highly recommended.
